Software that works!

Why the Lob Pine as the PAKsoft logo.  In Northern Minnesota in what is now the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) and further north in the Canadian Quetico it is said that you may still see the "lob pine".  These large pine trees at prominent locations were purposefully "lobbed".  A large section of branches were cut from a side of the tree to immediately help distinguish them from the other trees.  The Lob Pines were used to mark the waterways that the voyageurs used to get their furs to market.  To the "voyageurs" in their large wood and bark canoes the sighting of a lob pine meant that they were "on track" and "heading in the right direction".  These prominent trees were an immediate cause of comfort for these hard working men.  It meant that in this wilderness they were on the correct path.

PAKsoft uses the lob pine as its logo because it wants to insure these same feelings in its clients.  Their software projects are on the "right path".  Clients are comfortable knowing that PAKsoft is creating the best possible Windows applications for them.  PAKsoft stays abreast of the leading edge of technology and brings this knowledge along with twenty years of experience to your projects.
